Napoleonic Literature
Waterloo Excerpts

If you have been here before, you might want to go directly to the excerpts.

Included here are excerpts from an old book that I acquired on 6 May 1997, which has the following, unbelievably long title:

A
FULL AND CIRCUMSTANTIAL ACCOUNT
OF THE
MEMORABLE
BATTLE OF WATERLOO:
THE SECOND RESTORATION OF
LOUIS XVIII;
AND THE
DEPORTATION OF NAPOLEON BUONAPARTE
TO THE
ISLAND OF ST. HELENA,
AND EVERY RECENT PARTICULAR RELATIVE TO HIS CONDUCT AND MODE OF LIFE IN HIS EXILE
TOGETHER WITH
AN INTERESTING ACCOUNT OF THE AFFAIRS OF FRANCE,
AND
BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCHES
OF THE MOST DISTINGUISHED
WATERLOO HEROES.

Whew!! Now you know why I call this feature Waterloo Excerpts. This book was written by Christopher Kelly, Esq., and printed in London for Thomas Kelly, 17, Paternoster-Row, by J. Rider, Little Britain, 1836.

I will add to this feature periodically, as time permits.
