Photograph No. 2 - Pevensey Castle

Taken from the left hand tower in photo 1, this shows the Roman walls in the centre,
looking over the moat of the Norman inner bailey. The Roman west gate is visible
between two bastions. The church steeple in centre background is of the first
Norman church built anywhere in the British Isles, c.1070.
