Napoleonic Literature
Napoleon in Russia
by Michael Chiruhin

This article was submitted by Michael Chiruhin, a Russian, and is in Russian. Michael hopes to have a good English translation sometime in the future for upload to this site.  Originally, Michael submitted his article in English.  I attempted to convert his article into HTML but the Russian language, which is not able to be read by English language HTML editors, prevented this. I then tried to make it a Portable Document Format (.PDF) file. This didn't work either, for the same reason. The only option that remained to me was to scan the pages as image files and save them in JPEG format.  Therefore, Michael's article is presented here in a series of thirteen graphic images of typed pages. In addition to having [Prev] and [Next] hypertext links with each page, there is a link to each page listed below this text.  Lastly, using PKZip, I made a zip file of the word processing document, which is in Microsoft Word 97. You may download that file here. If you wish to contact Michael, his e-mail address is michel_1@mail.ru.
